Condition:
Flake to front right underside corner of marble base, dark patination is consistent with age, otherwise in apparently good condition.

Galeria Kreisler, Madrid, October 1982 A bronze sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci as a patinated, larger than life-sized head with stylistic inclusions illustrating the Master's work including a wing of his flying machine and a three dimensional image of roller bearings, another Da Vinci invention. The back of the head being hinged, swings open to reveal a representation of the sitting for the painting of the Mona Lisa. The subject seated on a coffer which opens to reveal a drawer. The opposing side bears a profile of a more youthful da Vinci. The whole resting on a black marble base.
